Michelo Shakantu is the Shareholder and Executive Chairman of the Inyatsi Group, a vast conglomerate operating in nine African countries with a workforce of over 6,000. Under his leadership, Inyatsi Group has transformed from a small construction business with a single project in Eswatini into one of the largest enterprises in the region, with a turnover nearing US$1 billion. His entrepreneurial and innovative drive has expanded the company’s investments across diverse sectors such as telecommunications, healthcare, mining, media, insurance, and meat processing. The Group’s growth is built on the foundation of delivering integrated business solutions across Africa.

Inyatsi Construction: A USD200million company that has delivered projects throughout the infrastructure spectrum; from water treatment plants to reservoirs, dams, pipelines, and canals; sub-stations and solar PV plants; highways and byways; bridges; mining infrastructure (access roads, civil works, housing, and tailings dams); quarrying and crushing; as well as township developments.

Construction Associates (CA): Specialises in vertical construction delivered building projects around the kingdom. CA’s completed project portfolio includes a variety of commercial structures such as multi-storey office blocks, factories, shopping complexes and hospitals. CA is involved in two of Eswatini’s flagship building projects – the International Convention Centre (ICC) and Five-Star Hotel (FISH) in Ezulwini with a combined value of over USD200million.

Infracast: A leading expert manufacturer of high-quality precast products that has contributed to infrastructure developments within Eswatini and beyond. Its factories, which are all SABS approved, adhere to stringent quality standards in the production of a range of precast products.

Eswatini Mobile: A fully Swati-owned Network, that significantly transformed the telecommunications sector in Eswatini. Its presence has sparked healthy market competition, directly resulting in more accessible and superior quality services for consumers nationwide. With 304 base stations, including 40 5G base stations, Eswatini Mobile now serves 85% of the population and stands as a leader in 5G coverage within the country.

Maloma Colliery: The largest anthracite coal mine in Africa. Anthracite coal is primarily utilized in the steel and metallurgical industries.

The Clinic Group: The largest provider of private healthcare services in Eswatini. It encompasses a range of exclusive specialisations which have positioned it as the foremost health institution in the Kingdom.

Lidwala Insurance: The second largest short-term insurer in Eswatini. It is an innovative, alternative risk solution provider that boasts of being the only insurance company in Eswatini to be awarded the prestigious GCR credit rating, having obtained a merit grading of A+.

Sydney is a business leader and Chartered Accountant with over 20 years of experience driving strategy, innovation, and operational excellence across diverse African sectors, including telecommunications, banking, construction, and agribusiness.

As CEO of Eswatini Mobile, he leads one of the Kingdom’s most rapidly expanding telecom companies, guiding its evolution into a purpose-driven, commercially agile, and innovation-led organization. His previous roles include serving as CEO of Eswatini Meat Industries, and he currently holds a board position at Inyatsi Group Holdings, a diversified conglomerate valued at USD 1 billion. His professional journey includes a decade in senior leadership roles at Zambia National Commercial Bank (Zanaco), where as Head of Strategy & Innovation, he spearheaded digital banking and performance transformation. He also held finance leadership positions at MTN and Zamtel. He brings profound expertise in business turnaround, cross-border operations, stakeholder engagement, and value creation. He thrives in dynamic environments that demand bold strategy, people-centered leadership, and disciplined execution.

Chief Financial Officer

Enock Dube, a Swazi citizen, serves as our Chief Financial Officer. He’s a Chartered Accountant who trained with KPMG. Enock brings over 30 years of senior finance experience. He’s worked at Ubombo Sugar, Mhlume Sugar Company, SPTC, and SIDC. He also has international experience from Walter Sisulu University and Mangosuthu University of Technology in South Africa. At Eswatini Mobile, Enock oversees all financial operations. This includes planning, reporting, and investment strategies. He ensures our financial health, sustainability, and growth, guiding key decisions for the company’s future success.

Jabulile Dlamini

Chief Technology Officer

Jabulile is a telecommunications leader with over five years of experience as the Chief Technology Officer at Eswatini Mobile. Throughout her career, she has been passionate about driving technological innovation and shaping the future of digital infrastructure in Eswatini. Her focus has always been on aligning operational excellence with strategic growth to create impactful, sustainable solutions.

One of Jabulile’s proudest achievements has been leading the national deployment of 5G coverage across the kingdom. Under her leadership, her team successfully launched 5G base stations in key urban areas, laying the groundwork for smart infrastructure, innovation, and inclusive digital access. She believes in the power of local expertise and visionary investment to rewrite what is possible. Her goal is to continue fostering innovation, develop high-performing teams, and contribute to the vision of transforming Eswatini into a first-world nation. She is dedicated to developing herself both as an executive and a technology professional, always seeking new ways to grow and better serve her organization and community.

As a proud Eswatini-born woman in leadership, Jabulile is committed to empowering women and promoting diversity within the tech industry. She sees this not only as a personal mission but as vital to the sustainable development of the country’s digital future.

Jabulile holds an MBA from Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University, a BSc in Computer Engineering from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, and a BSc in Mathematics and Chemistry from the University of Swaziland. In addition, she has completed numerous on-the-job training certifications that continue to enhance her skills and knowledge.

She is self-motivated, hardworking, and resilient under pressure. She remains committed to leading innovative initiatives that drive economic growth, social progress, and technological advancement.

Genius Sihlongonyane

Chief Information Officer

Chief Information Officer at Eswatini Mobile, a position Genius has held since 2020. He is responsible for the company’s IT strategy, digital transformation initiatives, and the robust infrastructure that underpins our services. His expertise ensures that Eswatini Mobile leverages cutting-edge technology to enhance operational efficiency, security, and the overall customer experience. He initially joined Eswatini Mobile as Head of Financial Services to setup e-Mali, the company’s Mobile Money services. His responsibilities included managing the subsidiary’s license application, setting up the financial services platform, and building the sales and support teams.

Before joining Eswatini Mobile, he led the digital transformation efforts at Swazi Bank, focusing on the introduction of new service channels. Notably, he spearheaded the initiative to introduce Mastercard, enabling bank customers to access services internationally. He also led the development of new internet banking and mobile application channels. His earlier career includes impactful roles as an IT Manager at several prominent organizations, including the Central Bank of Eswatini and RES Corporation.

He holds a BSC in Computer Science and Mathematics and a Master’s in Business Leadership. He also holds professional project management qualifications. He is deeply passionate about the transformative power of technology and its application in enhancing business operations and customer services.

Sindela Simelane

Legal & Compliance Manager / Board Secretary

Sindela Simelane is a highly experienced and accomplished legal professional, serving as the Legal & Compliance Manager and Board Secretary at Eswatini Mobile. As an admitted Attorney of the High Court of Eswatini, Sindela brings over a decade of robust legal practice and a deep understanding of corporate governance and regulatory compliance to her role.

Having joined Eswatini Mobile in 2016, Sindela played a pivotal role in establishing the legal department from its inception, shaping it into the comprehensive and effective unit it is today. Her dedication and expertise have been instrumental in building the company’s legal framework and ensuring its adherence to all applicable laws and regulations.

In her capacity as Legal and Compliance Manager, Sindela is responsible for providing expert advice on legal and regulatory requirements. She is instrumental in developing and implementing compliance policies and risk management plans, as well as continuously monitoring the organization’s compliance levels.

As Company Secretary, Sindela efficiently facilitates Board meetings and provides invaluable guidance to the Board on regulatory issues. Her multifaceted expertise and unwavering commitment make her an indispensable asset to Eswatini Mobile.

Nosipho Shongwe

Senior Manager, National Consumer Sales

Nosipho is a dynamic commercial leader with over seven years of experience driving sales growth, brand development, and market expansion across the telecommunications and FMCG industries. As part of Eswatini Mobile’s executive management team, she oversees national consumer sales strategy and execution, ensuring service accessibility and customer growth across the country. Her leadership in stakeholder engagement and brand positioning has been instrumental in strengthening Eswatini Mobile’s presence in a competitive market.

Prior to this, Nosipho served as Senior Commercial Manager at Eswatini Meat Industries, where she successfully led the rebranding and international repositioning of the business under the Embiveni identity. Her efforts revitalised market confidence, opened new export channels, and supported the company through a key leadership transition. Nosipho is recognised for her strategic thinking, collaborative leadership, and ability to deliver measurable results in fast-paced, high-stakes environments.

Nosipho Xaba

Senior Manager, Commercial

Nosipho serves as the youngest executive member at Eswatini Mobile. She assumed the role as Head of Commercial in 2022, after having been with the company since 2017. Her impact since then has been undeniable, marked by consistent success across Sales, Distribution, and Marketing. She has worked for Montigny, ICAP, Embiveni Meats and Lidwala Insurance. Her qualifications include a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing and Supply Chain Management, a Bachelor of Commerce Honors in Marketing, a Diploma in Procurement and Supply, and a short course in Sales Management.

Nosipho is responsible for the commercial strategy, encompassing product development, brand positioning, marketing, communications, customer experience and business enterprise. She is a driving force in keeping us competitive and ensuring we always deliver value to our customers.

With her energetic approach, she led the team that established Eswatini Mobile’s airtime distribution channel, a formidable network that now covers the entire country, boasting a strong presence in various channels including the street vendors, major retail outlets, banks, and digital platforms. Beyond her other achievements, Nosipho was instrumental in rebranding the network, shifting its identity from ‘We Work, We Serve, We Connect’ to the more accessible ‘Your Affordable Network.

Welile Msibi

Head, People & Culture

Welile is passionate about building a vibrant, inclusive, and high-performing workplace. With over 13 years of experience in human resources and organisational development, she brings a wealth of knowledge in HR practices, performance management, change management, and process improvement.

In her role, Welile leads all facets of our people strategy — including talent acquisition, employee development, and culture enhancement. Her leadership is driven by a commitment to empowering employees, fostering professional growth, and cultivating a culture of collaboration and innovation that supports Eswatini Mobile’s continued success.

Educational Background include a Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, Master’s degree in Human Resource Management, Certified Prosci Change Management Practitioner, Completed the Supervisory Development Course with the University of Swaziland.

Welile has held a range of impactful roles across key organisations, including Eswatini Civil Aviation Authority (2016–2021), Eswatini Revenue Authority (2013–2015), CONCO (2013), Eswatini College of Technology – Lecturer (2011–2013).
